It takes the right colours to bring your cake alive.
When designing this cake, I considered the 3 requests shared by the customer. She wanted to use the cake to celebrate 3 different birthdays of varying ages – 13, 16 and 73, incorporate fresh strawberries and use bright colours. So rather than choose the same old primary colours, I wanted to use a palette of colours that would suit the varied ages that really offset each other.
