Its all in the details
I was asked just recently why I ask for so much information when taking cake orders.
The answer is simple, with the right information I can make just the right cake for the customer.
– Flavour – Its a special occasion and the person celebrating deserves a delicious cake, using fantastic ingredients in the flavours that suit.
– Size – If you are having a party for 30, the person celebrating does not need to be panicking about whether there is enough cake for all their guests, so the size has to be right.
– Allergies – There are many who follow specific diets whether by choice or for health reasons, so I must follow these instructions. While I can’t always meet specific needs, I do my very best & try my best!
Designs & colours – I like to find out what the person celebrating loves so that when they get their cake, it screams ‘I’ or ‘we’ are special and our occasion is something to celebrate.

Puppy Cuppies
So this 13yo mum shared that she had two puppy dogs she adored, a white fluffy cavoodle & a chocolate brown sausage dog.
So I had to make the cupcakes all about these loved pooches.
Let me present the puppy collection cakes, chocolate & vanilla cake.

Black Forest
So for this cake, I was advised that not only was it a special 50th but it had to be a black forest.
Apparently the customer had incredible memories of his neighbour and the delicious black forest cakes she used to make before she passed. What a challenge? It is often difficult to meet the expectations of memories. Nothing like using all the good stuff, lindt chocolate & German Cherry Kirschen to help get the job done.
